Student Association of Social Work
Be the change you wish to see in the world.
The Student Association of Social Work (SASW) is a student-led organization that encourages involvement through service, education, advocacy, and unity. SASW members are committed to living out the values of social work — serving others, promoting justice, and strengthening community connections.
Guided by the principle “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” the SASW at Howard Payne University provides opportunities for students to grow both personally and professionally while building lasting friendships and community impact.
The SASW aims to:
- Enhance student learning and skill development in social work
- Encourage social change in the community
- Promote social and economic justice
- Foster unity among social work students
- Support personal growth and leadership
- Provide volunteer and advocacy opportunities
- Increase awareness of the social work profession
Membership is open to all HPU students, regardless of major, and all Social Work majors and minors are encouraged to join.
